Real person. Real place. AI as a tool.
AppalachAI is Appalachia + AI — a one-person game studio from the hills of Kentucky.
Hey, I'm Chris
I'm a solo developer in Kentucky. I started AppalachAI Studios to build the kind of games I love — and the occasional app — using AI as a co-pilot, not a crutch.
Two games are already live and free on Roblox, with more in the workshop. I build in public: showing the process, the wins, the things that don't work, and getting better in the open.
The name says it: AppalachAI (app-uh-LATCH-eye) — Appalachia plus AI. Real place, real person, modern tools.

The mark: an Appalachian mountain forms the A; a mine lamp glows in the valley; energy rises to a teal star at the summit.
Labor below, light above.
AI helps me ship more of what I love. It doesn't replace the part that makes it mine.
In a world drowning in AI slop, the edge isn't pretending AI doesn't exist — it's being a real craftsman from a real place who uses it well. Every game is designed, tested, and stood behind by a person you can talk to.
Built by a person
Not a content farm. A real developer, building in public, who reads every comment and ships what people ask for.
Made in the mountains
Rooted in Appalachia — Kentucky craft, Kentucky warmth, and a healthy stubborn streak about doing things right.
Powered by AI
AI is the co-pilot, not the pilot. It helps one person ship like a small team — without faking the craft.
Play a game, follow the build
Big games from the holler. New games, devlogs, and behind-the-scenes — drop your idea for what I should make next.
